NFR Observes Swachhata Hi Sewa 2026 with Nationwide Cleanliness and Awareness Initiatives

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) launched Swachhata Hi Sewa 2026, Swachhata Pakhwada 2026 and Special Campaign 6.0 on Thursday to promote cleanliness and awareness, with a Swachhata Pledge ceremony held at Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Sabhagriha. NFR General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava, along with senior officials and staff, participated in the event, reaffirming the organization's commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.

The Swachhata Hi Sewa 2026 campaign will run from September 17th to October 2nd, 2026, with numerous activities planned across NFR's stations, trains, workshops, railway colonies, offices and establishments. These activities will focus on cleanliness, sustainability, hygiene and public awareness, including intensive cleanliness drives, awareness campaigns, interactive sessions, workshops and pledge-taking.

NFR Construction Organisation is also taking part in the campaign, with General Manager Ashish Bansal and senior officials taking the Swachhata Pledge at their office. The campaign will be carried out in all five divisions of NFR, namely Katihar, Alipurduar, Rangiya, Lumding and Tinsukia, through cleanliness drives and awareness programs at various premises.

NFR is encouraging passengers, railway employees and local communities to join the campaign and actively participate in maintaining clean and hygienic railway premises, emphasizing that cleanliness is a collective responsibility.
