Tano North MP, Dr Gideon Boako, has described his support for more than 2,000 Senior High School entrants in the constituency as more than an act of kindness, saying the initiative represents a personal dream shaped by his own difficult childhood.
Dr Gideon Boako, the Tano North MP, has spoken about his support for more than 2,000 Senior High School students in his constituency, describing it as more than a kind gesture and a manifestation of his personal dream. Boako, who faced poverty and resource constraints during his own pursuit of Senior High School education, said his own childhood experiences have motivated him to assist young people facing similar hurdles.
Reflecting on his journey from Bomaa to Bechem Presbyterian Senior High School, Boako highlighted the critical support he received from family and others, along with divine intervention, which enabled him to surmount his difficulties and fulfill his aspirations. In a Facebook post on September 18, Boako emphasized that his recent initiative in Tano North was not merely an act of kindness, but the realization of a long-held dream.
He presented educational items, such as chop boxes, exercise books, school bags, and calculators, to the students as a means of giving back to the younger generation in a manner equivalent to the support he received during his own formative years. Boako attributed his actions to God's grace, expressing a desire for the beneficiaries to overcome their challenges, achieve their dreams, and subsequently become sources of support for others.
He further encouraged them to remain steadfast in their educational pursuits and strive to bring honor to Tano North.
