In the heart of Tehran, the image of Mojtaba Jamenei is everywhere: from murals depicting him as the supreme leader and massive billboards showcasing the 56-year-old alongside his late father, Ali Jamenei, to banners hoisted by loyal supporters gathering in city squares for a display of strength. Notably, six months after his appointment, Mojtaba Jamenei has remained unseen, not appearing at any public event, including his father's funeral in July, nor sharing photographs, videos, or audio recordings.

Instead, he governs exclusively through written statements. Regime officials claim this is a necessary security measure following the murders of high-ranking officials—including his father—carried out by the US and Israel. They assure that despite being injured in the attacks on February 28th, Mojtaba Jamenei has recovered and now exercises total control.

However, his conspicuous absence has become a growing source of confusion and suspicion within Iran, where the presence and authority of the supreme leader have been fundamental pillars of the regime's power.
