Liberia: Kogar Condemns Alleged Ai Images of VP Koung

Nimba County Senator Samuel G. Kogar has condemned the circulation of AI-generated images allegedly depicting Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung in humiliating situations. Kogar strongly condemned the growing practice of creating and sharing such images, urging those responsible to cease their dissemination. The controversy stems from claims that Koung underwent heightened security screening at Brussels Airport while transiting through the airport, although these reports have not been independently verified by airport or Belgian authorities.

Koung has disputed these claims, stating he used the regular passenger route and did not remove any shoes or jacket. Kogar emphasized that political disagreements should not justify the creation or circulation of manipulated images that degrade public officials. He called on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide an official account of the incident at Brussels Airport and ensure that appropriate diplomatic and protocol procedures were followed.
