Landtagswahl: Was Sie zur Landtagswahl in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern wissen sollten

On 20th September, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will elect a new Landtag. During the election campaign, key issues will be economy, bureaucracy reduction, internal security, health, education, migration, and asylum. To understand which party in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern best aligns with your views, the Wahl-O-Mat tool can compare your stance with each party's position.

This questionnaire helps determine which party aligns most closely with your opinions. The Wahl-O-Mat is a tool provided by the Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb), a federal agency under the Ministry of the Interior. Its goal is to promote democratic awareness and encourage citizens to participate actively in politics. The agency is comprised of young voters, experts from academia, journalism, and education, as well as employees from the Federal Agency for Civic Education.

The agency presents 80 theses to each of the 19 permitted parties for their response. From these 80 theses, 38 are selected for the Wahl-O-Mat, focusing on important election topics and those controversially answered by the parties. The parties are not involved in the creation or selection of these theses, but only submit their answers and justifications.
