Kwadaso Municipality supports fresh SHS students with chop boxes, mattresses

The Kwadaso Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region has provided essential boarding items to over 200 newly admitted Senior High School students to alleviate the financial burden on their parents. The items, which include chop boxes and student mattresses, were presented at a ceremony held at the Assembly's premises. Mr. Eric Asibey, the Municipal Chief Executive, emphasized that the initiative is part of the Assembly's commitment to promoting inclusive and equitable access to quality education.

He noted that while the Free Senior High School policy covers major costs such as tuition and feeding, many parents struggle to provide basic boarding necessities. The MCE stated that the gesture aims to cushion parents and motivate students to focus on their studies. Mr. Asibey expressed the Assembly's continued dedication to investing in young people as future leaders of the country.

Acting Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Clifford Henaku Budu, commended the MCE and the Assembly for the timely intervention, describing it as a significant boost to education delivery in the municipality. He urged the beneficiaries to focus on their education and make the municipality proud.
