Jeneral Ntatia, Mabel Okyere shine as Cecilia Marfo is honoured at 7th Ghana Arts and Entertainment Awards

The 7th Ghana Arts and Entertainment Awards celebrated top talent and emerging artists in Ghana's creative sector. Chief Executive Officer Cecilia Gyaase Konamah described the event as a "beautiful celebration of talent, creativity and excellence." Winners included Jeneral Ntatia as Man of the Year and Mabel Okyere as Woman of the Year and Best Female Vocalist.

Other winners were Ellawan (Best Actress), Kwame Trigga (Best Actor), Linglow (Best Entrepreneur), and S A Glamor (Best Makeup Artist). The Baraka Ibrahim Foundation received the Best Humanitarian Project award, while Adu Agyeman was recognized as Best Movie Director. On television and radio, Kwame Appiah Kubi and Abena Kyei Boakye won for Best TV Show Host – Male and Female, respectively.

Abena Ahenken and Nana Kwame Gyan were named Best Radio Show Host – Female and Male, respectively. Nurse Oye was awarded Best TikTok Star, and Obaapa Christy Ba won Discovery of the Year. Kro Leo was recognized as a Diaspora Artist, and Akwaaba Entertainment took the award for Best Diaspora Event Organiser. Quecyofficial was named Best Influencer, 1957 News won Best Blogger, and Oyerepa TV received the Best TV Station award.

Special recognitions went to Mr Daniel Yeboah, Roselyn Akosua Mantey, Cecilia Marfo, Samuel Owusu, Prophet Ogyaba, and Kwesi Ernest. Challenges faced by the organizers included logistics, production, coordination, and sponsorship. Looking ahead, the organizers aim to expand the awards' impact on Ghana's creative economy, creating more opportunities for creatives and fostering growth and connections within the industry.
