GlobalEye surveillance plane under the microscope as Conservatives call for twin probes
Federal Conservatives want the auditor general and parliamentary budget officer to investigate Ottawa's planned GlobalEye purchase, questioning whether proper procurement rules were followed. The demand follows revelations the Saab aircraft meets only some military requirements and that competitors had not been shown those requirements before the government announced its preferred aircraft.
