Gachagua lands in Kansas City as he intensifies his US diaspora engagement

DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua has arrived in Kansas City, Missouri, for the third stop of his United States tour. Accompanied by his wife, Rev. Dorcas Rigathi, Gachagua was greeted by a warm welcome from the local Kenyan community. The reception featured Kenyans singing Kikuyu songs, marking a cultural moment as they expressed their eagerness to see the former Deputy President.

This visit is part of Gachagua's ongoing interactions with Kenyans living and working abroad across various US states. Earlier, Gachagua had engagements in Spokane, Washington, and Portland, Oregon, where he focused on listening to Kenyans abroad, discussing challenges facing Kenya, and exploring ways the diaspora could contribute to the country's development.

His Spokane meetings included community gatherings, while Portland saw him addressing the Kenyan community, praising their resilience and hard work. Gachagua's Kansas City engagement is part of a broader five-city US tour, which will take him to Dallas, Texas, and Boston, Massachusetts. The tour is set to continue from September 16 to 24 in Kansas, followed by Dallas from September 24 to October 1, and concluding in Boston from October 1 to 9.
