Flying vehicles in Ras Al Khaimah: New deal takes testing to the next stage

Ras Al Khaimah has officially signed a cooperation agreement with Chinese company Aridge to advance testing and implementation of air mobility solutions. The agreement, witnessed by Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority, RAK Department of Civil Aviation, and Aridge officials, was signed at the RAK Ruler's palace. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi highlighted the agreement as a significant step to leverage global expertise and technologies in developing efficient and sustainable transport systems.

The partnership will see Ardge serving as the founding partner of the Ras Al Khaimah advanced air mobility test zone, establishing an operational presence with aircraft and a specialized team. This will support the development of technical and operational capabilities, enhancing cooperation with aviation regulators. The test zone will facilitate phased testing and demonstrations of advanced air mobility technologies, paving the way for future applications in transport, tourism, logistics, and emergency response.
