“Everyone is different”: Harry Kane plays down Yamal’s Ballon d’Or statements

Harry Kane dismissed the comments made by Lamine Yamal regarding the Ballon d'Or award. The 33-year-old footballer was asked about Yamal's statements after the latter surpassed 100 goals in the Bundesliga. Kane downplayed the controversies, stating that he doesn't often discuss himself and prefers to focus on his work on the pitch. He acknowledged that everyone has their own opinions and that it's alright to have differing views.

Kane also questioned what Yamal meant by referring to Ballon d'Or standard players, saying he didn't fully understand the context. Despite that, he praised Yamal, calling him an incredible player who had a great season. He followed by mentioning several other candidates, including Mbappe, Michael Olise, and Rodri, who also had excellent seasons.

Kane emphasized that everyone has the right to express themselves, and everyone is different. He reiterated that this is not something he can control, and instead, he will continue to perform on the pitch. The England captain concluded by saying that we'll see what happens next, as he keeps doing his thing on the field. Kane recently scored a brace in a 7-0 win against Union Berlin for FC Bayern, securing a place at the top of the Bundesliga table.

At 33, he is the youngest player to reach 100 goals in the Bundesliga, having accomplished this feat in just his 98th appearance.
