Europa League: Eddie Nketiah scores first goal of 2026/27 season in Palace win over Lech Poznan

Eddie Nketiah, the English-born Ghanaian-descent forward, netted his inaugural goal of the 2026/27 season as Crystal Palace secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Polish side Lech Poznan. The forward made his mark by coming off the bench to turn in the final goal of the match in the 89th minute. Nketiah was named on the bench for the team's opening European game of the season at Selhurst Park.

Yeremy Pino netted the opening goal for the home team after just 10 minutes, followed by Chris Richards doubling the lead 17 minutes later. Pierre Sage's side extended their lead just before halftime when Jorgen Strand Larsen scored the third goal. Despite the Polish side's efforts to stave off conceding further goals in the second half, Nketiah's goal proved to be the clincher, leading Palace to a 4-0 win.
