Dax aktuell: Dax notiert deutlich schwächer – Tech-Aktie legt zu

Düsseldorf. On the last trading day of the week, the German benchmark index, the Dax, failed to build on its gains from the previous day. The Dax opened at 25,596 points on Friday, marking a slight decline of about 0.5 percent compared to the previous day. Earlier on Thursday, the benchmark rate had risen by 0.7 percent to hit 25,717 points.

The Bank of Japan (BoJ) announced its policy decision prior to the market opening, raising the interest rate to 1.25 percent, the highest level in 31 years. Asian stock indices followed suit with a strong surge. However, the Yen failed to benefit from this rally when measured against the US Dollar. Oil prices continued to fall globally, with Brent crude oil for November delivery trading at around $103 per barrel, which is roughly 2 percent less than the previous day's price.

This decline in oil prices was attributed to reports of alternative shipping routes for Saudi Arabian oil exports, which helped to alleviate concerns about supply bottlenecks caused by the Iran war. The key Red Sea pipeline, an alternative route to the Hormuz Strait, had been damaged by drone strikes earlier. According to Bloomberg financial news agency, the country aims to restore nearly half of its capacity within a few days.
