Claude Code revamps projects so you can work and pay in parallel

Anthropic has introduced a new feature called Projects for its Claude Code tool, allowing users to manage multiple related tasks simultaneously in a single project. The Projects feature, currently in beta, lets Claude Code handle several tasks at once, each running as its own cloud session thread with its own git branch and copy of the relevant repository.

A coordinator directs these threads, merging any conflicts that arise. Users can manage projects through various methods, including Subagents working within a session, Agent View for a single screen overview, Agent Teams for coordinating multiple instances, Dynamic Workflows for scripting orchestration, and the newly introduced Projects feature for broader, cross-repository work.

Projects can consume tokens quickly, potentially reaching usage limits faster than single sessions. Anthropic has granted access to Pro and Max subscribers using Claude Code but is gradually expanding the rollout to others. Team and Enterprise plans remain excluded at this time. Anthropic's Q2 adjusted operating profit was reported, with revenue reaching $11.5 billion, suggesting that widespread use of Projects could boost earnings further.
