Chargers' Mike McDaniel reveals plans for Oronde Gadsden moving forward

Chargers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel has revealed his plans for second-year tight end Oronde Gadsden for the upcoming season. After a limited appearance in the team's Week 1 matchup against the Cardinals, McDaniel expressed his intention to involve Gadsden more frequently in the offense. He emphasized that they aim to keep opponents guessing by varying their approach to player usage.

McDaniel stated, "Every week we try to keep the opponent off balance by different ways to utilize people. I expected for him to get more, the game didn't play out..." Gadsden, who made the most of his limited playing time, catching two passes for 32 yards on Sunday, is anticipated to be a more regular part of the Chargers' offense moving forward.
