Burna Boy to headline NFL Paris halftime show

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy has been named the headline performer for the 2026 NFL Paris halftime show, marking a significant international milestone for the Grammy Award-winning artist. The NFL announced on September 17 that Burna Boy will take the stage during the league’s first regular-season game in France, set to occur on Sunday, October 25, at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, Paris. The matchup will see the Pittsburgh Steelers compete against the New Orleans Saints.

Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, is a globally recognized Nigerian musician who has played a pivotal role in introducing Afrobeats and Afro-fusion to audiences worldwide. His appearance at the Paris game will bring his music to an international sporting audience as the NFL expands its international games and entertainment initiatives.

The singer, who previously became the first African artist to headline a solo concert at the Stade de France in April 2025, said the return to the stadium for another major event holds great significance for him.
