Bayern and England’s Kane not focused on Ballon d’Or despite 73-goal season

Harry Kane revealed that the 2025-26 season marked the best of his life after scoring an impressive 73 goals for both Bayern Munich and England. Despite his stellar performance, the England international downplayed his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or, stating he is not focused on individual awards. No English player has won the prestigious accolade since Michael Owen in 2001, and Kane faces stiff competition from Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappe, who are also in the running.

In an interview with Spanish outlet Marca, Kane expressed his dislike for discussing himself excessively, saying, "The only thing I'd say is that last season was incredible, both personally and for the team." He acknowledged his pride in netting the highest tally since Lionel Messi's record 82 goals in 2011-12, but reiterated that the Ballon d'Or outcome is ultimately in the hands of the voters.

Kane emphasized that last season is now behind him and is focused on the present, expressing excitement for what the future holds. The winner of the Ballon d'Or will be announced at the official awards ceremony on October 26.
