Atebubu College of Education graduates 366

The Atebubu College of Education in Bono East Region recently celebrated its 13th graduation ceremony, where 366 trainees received their degrees after completing four-year degree programs in Early Childhood, Primary, and Junior High School (JHS) Education. Dr. Samuel Addae-Boateng, the College's Principal, addressed the event and highlighted the achievements of the graduating class.

Among the graduates, 54 earned certificates in Early Childhood Education, 146 in Primary Education, and 166 in JHS Education. In terms of academic performance, 40 graduates achieved first-class honors, 146 second-class upper division, 133 second-class lower division, 42 third-class division, and five pass division. The graduation ceremony was held under the theme "Knowledge with integrity: Preparing ethical leaders for tomorrow."

Dr. Addae-Boateng emphasized the importance of integrity in the profession, stating that "knowledge without integrity is dangerous." He urged the graduates to consider teaching not merely as a technical occupation but as a moral profession. The College has been investing in its digital infrastructure, including printers, wireless HDMI, video capture equipment, additional laptops, and Wi-Fi network enhancements.

The institution has also installed CCTV cameras and empowered security personnel to ensure campus safety. Additionally, the College organized in-service training for teaching and non-teaching staff and conducted training workshops for partner schools. The ceremony acknowledged the significant contributions of Bono East Regional Minister Mr. Francis Owusu Antwi and Member of Parliament Mr. Sanja Nanja to the College's growth and development.

The overall best graduating student, Mr. Joseph Angkyelle, achieved a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.94, while Miss Freda Sam was the top performer in the Social Studies Department with a CGPA of 3.89.
