Astartes II, the Most Anticipated Warhammer 40,000 Animation Ever, Has a New Trailer and Confirmation of Key Details

Games Workshop has unveiled a new trailer for Astartes II, the eagerly awaited sequel to the legendary Warhammer 40,000 animation known as Astartes. The original Astartes, crafted by dedicated fan Syama Pedersen and later embraced by the studio, is widely regarded as the finest Warhammer 40,000 animation, rivaling professionally produced content.

The sequel has been confirmed to feature Deathwatch and Terminators, elements that were hinted at in the teaser released last year. Games Workshop stated that Astartes II will be considerably longer than its predecessor, a fact that is met with enthusiasm by the fan community. The studio emphasized that the sequel will showcase even more intense battles, such as melee combat, shooting, vehicle combat, and spaceship battles, across a variety of environments and against multiple enemy races including Tyranids, Orks, and Tau.

However, the teaser does not actually contain footage from the new animation, but rather showcases the characters' backgrounds, providing a subtle hint about the story's direction. Astartes II is scheduled for release on Warhammer+, Games Workshop's streaming platform, in December.
