Air Astana to resume Dubai flights from Almaty and Astana in October

Air Astana intends to resume scheduled flights to Dubai from its principal hubs in Kazakhstan starting in early October, reinstating services that had been halted since July due to security concerns in the region. Almaty-based flights will begin on October 1, while Astana-based services will restart on October 2, according to the Kazakh airline.

Rather than immediately resuming their original schedules, Air Astana plans to incrementally expand its capacity throughout October. The Almaty-Dubai route will initially operate four times a week, increasing to 12 weekly services by the month's end. Flights between Astana and Dubai will start with three weekly services and rise to 10 by the conclusion of October.

Current published schedules indicate flight KC897 will run between Almaty and Dubai commencing October 1, arriving at Terminal 1 at Dubai International Airport. The Boeing 767-300 aircraft will be utilized for the initial phase of the Almaty-Dubai route in October. Air Astana stated it will persist in monitoring developments across the Middle East and may adjust its timetable if circumstances change. Passengers will be notified of any timetable modifications, the airline added.
