Ms. 118 from residents of L.B. Nagar colonies on the city outskirts, with the process expected to be completed within a month. This decision benefits over 9,700 families residing in the colonies. However, the regularisation process will depend on any orders from the high court.
The regularisation will commence from Saturday, September 19, 2026. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy stated that the issue of pattas to regularize the lands in the areas would be ongoing. Plot/land owners are advised to consult local officials and ensure their lands are regularized. Simultaneously, a process will be initiated to regularize layouts and colonies approved by authorities like HMDA, GHMC or DTCP where registrations were stalled due to Section 22A.
A decision on regularizing these layouts/colonies is expected within a couple of days, as per the Chief Minister's assurance.
The government will also address housing issues in the coal belt area governed by the Singareni Collieries Company Limited. Registrations in these areas had been stalled, even though the previous government headed by late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy had issued orders (G.O. 76) to enable regularization of the house sites. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has been tasked with discussions with MLAs from the coal belt area to find a permanent solution to the issue, following the Chief Minister's assurance to applicants seeking relief from Section 22A's purview.
