Abu Dhabi unveils major reproductive health programme through 2030

The Abu Dhabi Reproductive Health Future Programme, launched by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, aims to establish an integrated ecosystem to enhance reproductive health services through 2030. The programme emphasizes a shared responsibility between men and women in reproductive health, focusing on prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and advanced technologies such as in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), fertility preservation, egg freezing, and embryo preservation.

Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, highlighted that the programme seeks to transform innovation into tangible health outcomes, consolidating Abu Dhabi's position as the capital of the future of reproductive health. Dr Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department, emphasized the importance of preventive care and early screening, enabling healthcare providers, researchers, and innovators to work together using advanced technologies and a flexible regulatory environment.

The programme will leverage Abu Dhabi's advanced healthcare infrastructure, research ecosystem, and flexible regulatory environment to apply precision medicine, genomics, artificial intelligence, and health data analytics. These tools will enhance prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, accelerating the translation of scientific discoveries into clinical applications.

Additionally, the programme aims to attract international medical centers, experts, and specialists to further strengthen Abu Dhabi's reputation as a global hub for reproductive health services and innovation.
