3 suspek curi kenderaan diburu selepas terbabit nahas maut di Bentong

Pahang's Deputy Inspector General, Azry Akmar Ayob, announced three suspects have been identified in connection with a fatal accident involving three vehicles on Jalan Mempaga-Sertik, Bentong. Additionally, a man renting the vehicle to the suspects has been detained. The three males aged between 20 and 30 years old remain at large, with authorities actively searching for them.

A 30-year-old detained suspect tested positive for drug use and is currently under arrest pending court proceedings. On Monday, a motorcyclist died after a collision with a Perodua Myvi and a Honda HR-V in the same area. Earlier, the Pahang Police Chief informed the public that the Perodua Myvi driver and two passengers were believed to have abandoned the vehicle and fled to a nearby padi field after the accident.

Further developments revealed that Azry Akmar stated that police are still investigating five Orang Asli detained the previous Tuesday for allegedly obstructing police work during a forest operation in Bera. The five individuals, four women and one man, were arrested on September 15 and held for a day under Section 186 of the Penal Code before being released on bail.

The Pahang Police Chief advises local residents to cooperate with authorities, including the police, district and land offices, and other government agencies conducting operations and land surveys at the forest reserve site.
