White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles says she is cancer-free, thanks President Trump for his ‘unwavering support’

White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles announced on Wednesday that she is cancer-free after pathology results from her medical appointment at the Mayo Clinic came back clear. Wiles expressed gratitude for receiving the results and thanked her family, friends, doctors, and others who supported her throughout her treatment. She also acknowledged President Donald Trump for his unwavering support, stating that she remains deeply grateful and will continue working to advance his "America First Agenda."

Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha Vance, congratulated Wiles, praising her strength and leadership during her battle with cancer. Other notable figures, such as Labor Department Inspector General Anthony D’Esposito and Scott Turner, also congratulated Wiles, thanking her for her resilience and courage. Wiles initially shared her breast cancer diagnosis in March, with Trump noting that the cancer was detected early and her prognosis was favorable.

Despite undergoing treatment, Wiles continued serving as White House chief of staff, conducting business, making calls, and holding meetings. She even accompanied Trump to Dallas for a Republican midterm convention. Wiles became the first woman to hold the position of White House chief of staff when Trump's second administration began in January 2025.
