‘We’re not stopping’: Salesforce UK&I CEO calls for greater training and skills as it continues on its “mission” to boost workers across the country

Salesforce UK&I Chief Executive Officer, Zahra Bahroloumi, has reaffirmed her company's dedication to investing in skills training and upskilling young people in the United Kingdom. Despite recent changes in government leadership, Bahroloumi emphasized that Salesforce remains steadfast in its mission to empower workers across the country.

The company's commitment to this cause is further underscored by its ambitious $6 billion investment plan in the UK through 2030, with the aim of aiding the UK government's goal of training 10 million UK workers by 2030.

During a recent media roundtable, Bahroloumi and Paul O'Sullivan, SVP Solution Engineering and Salesforce UK&I CTO, discussed how Salesforce is addressing the "AI literacy gap" by rapidly expanding its workforce. The company is doubling the size of its forward-deployed engineer team in the UK and placing significant emphasis on apprenticeship schemes, graduate opportunities, and plans to double its team's size within the next six months.

Bahroloumi highlighted the potential of the UK in the AI-enabled and augmented future, recognizing the need for more talent to drive this transformation. She expressed confidence in Salesforce's ability to automate and augment jobs, while also advocating for the repatriation of jobs from offshore locations to the UK. By creating jobs back in the UK, Salesforce can maximize the benefits of its technology and platform, augmenting human capacity effectively.
