UNC football releases availability report for Clemson game

The North Carolina Tar Heels are set to face the Clemson Tigers in their first Atlantic Coast Conference game of the season on Saturday. Currently, the Tar Heels have a 2-0 record following wins against TCU and ETSU. However, the upcoming match poses a greater challenge. The Tar Heels have released their availability report per ACC protocol, and unfortunately, there are a few concerning updates.

Inside Carolina reported on Wednesday that two UNC football players were involved in a traffic stop, resulting in a gun charge for Keeyun Chapman and a speeding ticket for C.J. Sadler. Both players are now listed as OUT for Saturday's game. The Tar Heels provided the following statement: "We are aware of the incident involving UNC football student-athletes Tuesday night in Chapel Hill.

We are cooperating fully with the University and local officials, and will have no further comment while gathering additional information." With both players out, the Tar Heels will be missing at least two key players, potentially even more. However, there is a glimmer of hope. Defensive end Melkart Abou Jaoude, who led UNC in sacks last year, is listed as questionable for the game.

He was injured during the win against TCU and missed the ETSU game. If Abou Jaoude can recover and return, it would significantly bolster UNC's pass rush. The match between the Tar Heels and the Tigers is scheduled to kick off at noon on Saturday.
