Two Filipino stroke patients in Sharjah to get post-acute care from Philippine agencies

Dubai: Two Filipino workers recovering from stroke at Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah will receive continued medical support after their discharge, according to the Philippine government. Secretary of the Philippine Department of Migrant Workers, Hans Cacdac, visited the patients on September 10 to arrange post-acute care through the migrant workers agencies.

The two workers have been cleared for discharge and will be supported by the DMW and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA). Cacdac noted that the Philippine government is ensuring these OFWs receive appropriate care following their release from the hospital. Post-acute care for these individuals may include continued medical monitoring, rehabilitation, and other necessary support as they recover from their serious health episodes.
