Turkey’s Erdogan to run in early 2028 vote, sidestepping constitutional term limit
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan intends to run for another term in an early election in 2028 in order to circumvent the constitution which bars him from running again if he serves out his full term, one of his senior advisers said Thursday. In power since 2003, first as prime minister, then as president since 2014, Erdogan would be seeking a fourth term.
