Trump says war with Iran nearing its end

US President Donald Trump declared that the war with Iran is nearing its conclusion, a statement made after the US House of Representatives voted to curtail military actions against Tehran. Just hours following this legislative action, Trump remarked: "We are in the final stages of the war with Iran," adding that the Iranian leadership is keen to reach a deal.

"They very much want to make a deal. We will see how things go," he concluded. Separately, Trump cautioned that the European Union's decision to permit Canada to join as an associate member could be perceived as a hostile act, potentially prompting further tariffs. Trump made this warning contingent upon the perceived intentions of European leaders, stating: "If the intentions are good, that's fine.

But if the intentions are bad, we will impose very high tariffs on Europe," and warned that the US could potentially halt trade with Europe in specific sectors.
