Tøyen Mineralvann Fabrikk, a beverage company located in the inner Oslo district of Oslo, was established in 2014 in the city's Gamle Oslo district. The company produces flavored soft drinks such as "Tøyen-Cola" and "Jalla" flavored soda. The founder of the company, Jarle "J.J." Hollerud, expressed his belief that his products should be accessible to the masses, even though the market is dominated by large companies.

Hollerud stated that most people agree with his stance and strive for an alternative to the American giants they compare themselves to.

In 2019, Tøyen Mineralvann Fabrikk successfully challenged The Coca-Cola Company, forcing the company to change the name of their Jalla-flavored soda and pay compensation. The company is now left with debts of approximately 2.9 million kroner, including around 1.1 million kroner in rent and shared expenses. Lawyer Pan Farmakis has been appointed as the company's legal representative to oversee the situation.

Former Tøyen Mineralvann Fabrikk employees Rikard Svensk and Hollerud are at the center of a legal dispute. Svensk filed for bankruptcy in February this year, which was officially decided by the Supreme Court in May. Svensk is seeking compensation of nearly half a million kroner from his former employer. Hollerud also filed a claim for at least 715,000 kroner, including late payment interest.

Svensk intends to decide whether to finalize the bankruptcy proceedings before the deadline of October 16. He remains undecided on the future of the company, stating that he will closely monitor the situation in court.
