Skeleton still wearing jeans found at abandoned Rayong condo

The skeletal remains of an unidentified man were discovered beneath a section of a brick wall at an abandoned condominium near Mae Ramphueng Beach in Rayong, Thailand. Thai police were alerted to the discovery on September 16 after locals found the remains beneath the building in Phe subdistrict, Mueang Rayong district. Upon arrival, police, forensic officers, and crime-scene investigators attended the scene.

The deceased, estimated to be around 170 centimeters tall, was found wearing jeans and covered by a portion of brick wall, which measured approximately one meter wide and five inches thick. Forensic investigators determined the man had been dead for about 30 days.

Police conducted a thorough search of the surrounding area, collecting evidence for forensic examination. However, no identification documents or evidence linking the man to a recent missing person case were found at the scene. One preliminary theory being considered by investigators is that the man may have been tortured and killed before the wall was placed over his body.

However, police have not ruled out natural causes, accidents, or other possible explanations and are awaiting forensic results to determine the cause of death.

The abandoned condominium receives little foot traffic, and police believe the body may have remained undiscovered for weeks, leaving very few leads for investigators.
