Sentnor leads Angel City to 3-1 victory over the Seattle Reign

Ally Sentnor, Ary Borges and Taylor Suarez each scored as Angel City secured a 3-1 triumph over Seattle Reign in Los Angeles on Wednesday. Elsewhere, Bay FC staged a remarkable comeback to draw 2-2 with Denver Summit. Angel City's Maiara Niehue opened the scoring in the 18th minute after a handball on Seattle Reign midfielder Angharad James-Turner.

Sentnor then converted her second penalty kick in as many weeks to put Angel City ahead. Ary Borges doubled the lead with a header from a corner kick in the 40th minute. Within 30 seconds of coming on as a substitute, Taylor Suarez completed the rout with a goal in the 81st minute. Seattle Reign's only goal came from defender Sofia Huerta's long-range shot in stoppage time.

Angel City is now unbeaten in four matches and trails the Reign by just one point for the final playoff spot. Seattle's loss ended a three-game winning streak. For Bay FC, Claire Hutton and Taylor Huff scored late goals to erase a two-goal deficit against Denver Summit. Lindsey Heaps and Janine Sonis also scored for Bay FC, with Hutton netting a crucial right-footed shot from a narrow angle in the 73rd minute. The win ended Bay FC's three-match losing streak, giving them a 6-13-5 record.
