KLANG, Sept 17 — Another body, believed to be one of the missing anglers off One Fathom Bank near Pulau Ketam, was recovered off Hutan Melintang, Perak, late on Sunday. Selangor's Marine Enforcement Agency (MMEA) operations officer, Maritime Lieutenant Mohd Syafiq Sazali, informed that a local fishing boat spotted a man's body floating at 4.26 pm.
The MMEA vessel KM Nusa, stationed three nautical miles from the Selangor–Perak maritime boundary at the time, headed to the location. The body, wearing a life jacket, will be transported to Hutan Melintang Jetty for formal identification with family members or next of kin. Muhammad Ridzuan Ruhaizat, a 37-year-old angler, remains unaccounted for, and his family, hopeful for his safe return, expressed concern over potential dehydration.
Two other survivors, Mohd Rizal Mohamad Sadali and Muhd Hamiszar Punirain, are in stable condition after suffering neck injuries. The other missing anglers are identified as Raja Mohd Rozi Raja Mohamad, 49, and Muhammad Ridzuan Ruhaizat, 37.
