Sandy Alcantara Did Something He's Never Done in Cy Young Career

Sandy Alcantara, a seasoned pitcher for the Miami Marlins, achieved a remarkable feat on Wednesday. The accomplished veteran, who holds numerous records in the franchise, had never closed a game in a save situation throughout his career. However, when the situation arose in the bottom of the ninth inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Alcantara stepped up to the plate and recorded his first save of the 31-year-old's tenure with the Marlins.

The manager, Clayton McCullough, called upon Alcantara in the bullpen, and the pitcher delivered a stellar performance, leading his team to a 4-3 victory.
