Ruto pledges Ksh70M to upgrade Kabondo Kasipul Agricultural Centre

President William Ruto has pledged an additional Ksh70 million to upgrade the proposed agricultural training and research centre in Kabondo Kasipul, Homa Bay County, raising the planned investment to Ksh100 million. The county's governor, Gladys Wanga, had appealed to the President to support the project, which had already been allocated Ksh30 million by the county.

The upgraded centre will include an agricultural training facility, demonstration farming, and an aggregation center for sweet potatoes. Ruto emphasized that the investment would support farmers through agricultural training and demonstration farming, contributing to food security in Kenya.
