Russia Holds Early State Duma Voting in Occupied Ukraine as Armed Troops Accompany Mobile Polling Teams
Russia has begun early voting ahead of its scheduled Sept. 18-20 State Duma elections. In occupied parts of Ukraine, mobile polling teams were deployed and accompanied by armed servicemen and police. Kyiv condemned the elections, while Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha called the process a “farce.”
