RPF seize 32 kg ganja at Jolarpet railway station

On Thursday, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) intercepted a shipment of 32 kilograms of ganja at Jolarpet railway station. As part of a campaign targeting the illicit transport of narcotics and flammable materials on trains, a team of RPF officers executed a covert investigation at the station. The team selected a train heading to Chennai, which had paused on platform 2, for a surprise inspection.

Upon scrutinizing the train, the RPF discovered two bags discarded in the general compartment. After opening the bag, they unearthed bundles of ganja. Preliminary investigations revealed that three individuals had abandoned the consignment and escaped upon spotting the RPF team. The Jolarpet RPF has lodged a case and is utilizing CCTV footage to identify the gang behind the ganja smuggling operation. An ongoing investigation is being conducted.
