Rainbow Coalition: It’s going to be a movie – Davido reacts to Wike, APC crisis

Afrobeat artist Davido has commented on the political turmoil between the All Progressives Congress, APC, governors and Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT. According to DAILY POST, the Progressive Governors Forum, PGF, headed by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, has dismissed Nyesom Wike’s Rainbow Coalition.

The coalition is a multi-party political movement backing President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign for 2027. Hope Uzodimma stated that APC governors would not endorse cross-party partnerships. Reacting to the conflict, Davido, who had recently met with Wike in Abuja following the Osun governorship election, found the ongoing dispute to be incredibly captivating.

Sharing a video of an interview between Wike and Uzodimma on his Instagram story, Davido captioned the post, "Movie loading," and added a cup of popcorn emoji. Daily Post reported that Wike, a designated member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is presently serving as FCT minister under the ruling APC administration led by President Bola Tinubu.

Tinubu rewarded Wike with the ministerial position for his vocal support during the 2023 presidential election against the party’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
