Police probe 14-year-old driver after he crashes into two cars in Perai

Police are investigating a 14-year-old driver after two car crashes in Perai, as reported by Seberang Perai Tengah district police chief ACP Nik Aminuddin Raja Abdullah. The incidents occurred in Taman Chai Leng on September 17, with the first crash taking place at 4:50pm when the teenager collided with a parked car on the road shoulder while heading from Lorong Kurau 23 towards Jalan Kurau 1.

Nik Aminuddin further claimed the teenager continued driving before running onto the wrong side of a one-way road at Lebuh Kurau 5, colliding with another car traveling in the correct lane.

According to Nik Aminuddin, the two accidents caused damage to all three vehicles, though no injuries were reported. Further investigations are ongoing, and the case is being examined under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving. Police have advised parents to monitor their children's activities and not allow underage children to operate vehicles, as it is illegal and could endanger other road users.

The public is cautioned against speculating about the incident and to allow the police to handle the investigation.
