Poland Preparing Largest-Ever Military Aid Package For Ukraine — Sikorski

Poland is gearing up to provide the most extensive military aid package to date for Ukraine, according to Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski. Despite continuous Russian assaults, Poland shows no intent to lessen its assistance to Kyiv, as reported by UATV English. In an interview with Polish Radio, Sikorski revealed that Warsaw is gearing up to deliver a substantial new aid package, with the Ministry of National Defence expected to disclose further details on the specific military supplies.

Sikorski emphasized the importance of remaining steadfast in the face of intimidation, stating, "We are preparing the largest, major aid package for Ukraine. We will not allow ourselves to be intimidated — the more Russia bombs Ukraine, the greater the solidarity we need to show with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people." The Foreign Minister's remarks came in response to inquiries about expediting the delivery of Patriot missiles to Ukraine, a notion previously raised by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

Sikorski also cautioned that Poland is preparing for a potential escalation of Russia's hybrid warfare, which has already adopted a kinetic nature. He highlighted various acts of sabotage, arson attempts, drone attacks, and violations of NATO airspace. Russian strikes on Ukraine have also been reported near Poland's border, with Russian drones and missiles previously breaching the airspace of NATO member states.

Sikorski stated, "Obviously, Russia is escalating, so we have to prepare," adding that Poland should be ready for various scenarios instead of relying solely on diplomatic statements from Moscow to change Russia's behavior. It is anticipated that Poland's upcoming military aid package for Ukraine will encompass several Patriot missiles, reflecting the country's commitment to supporting Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression.
