Raigad, September 17, 2026: From September 25 to 27, wildlife enthusiasts will embark on early-morning and late-evening forest trails in Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary to document amphibians, reptiles, and other wildlife during the sixth edition of the Phansad Herp Count. Organized by the Green Works Trust in collaboration with SBI Foundation under CONSERW and the Maharashtra Forest Department’s Thane Wildlife Division, this three-day biodiversity documentation program will be held at the end of the monsoon.
Participants will explore the forest to observe and record various herpetofauna in their natural habitats, with field surveys covering multiple wildlife groups.
