The State Treasury of Negeri Sembilan has stated that it will not take any investigative or enforcement action regarding the proclamation related to Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir's position as Yang Dipertuan Besar. This decision aligns with the view of the Attorney General's Chambers (AGC) following the announcement by members of the State Legislative Council (MMKN) about the proclamation dated April 19, 2023.

Earlier, the Chief Minister Ismail Lasim informed the media that the state bureaucracy was instructed to continue the process of promulgating the proclamation in accordance with existing regulations. The State Treasury has referred to legal advice from the Attorney General's Chambers to ensure that any actions taken are in line with the laws and the State Constitution of Negeri Sembilan (UUTKNS).

The AGC also stated that the proclamation dated April 19, 2023, is not valid as it does not comply with the mandatory provision of Article 10 of UUTKNS. This decision is in line with the AGC's view that the MMKN members of Negeri Sembilan do not have the power, authority or jurisdiction under UUTKNS to make such a proclamation. Furthermore, there is no legal basis for MMKN members to rely on the proclamation of April 19, 2023, for their announcement.

Based on these facts and the AGC's media statement on September 17, the State Treasury accepts the advice received and will not take any investigative or enforcement action regarding the proclamation, as such action would be deemed unlawful and unprofessional, according to the statement.
