Panthers say Marchand will be rehabbing through October, Gadjovich remains out indefinitely

Florida forward Brad Marchand is anticipated to miss the initial month of the upcoming season, which translates to at least the Panthers' first 14 games. This absence is due to post-offseason surgery recovery. The 38-year-old has not disclosed the specifics of his surgery. Throughout last season, Marchand faced a lower-body problem that hindered Florida's pursuit of their third consecutive Stanley Cup.

Coach Paul Maurice confirmed that Marchand would undergo rehab during October, potentially leading to his return towards the season's end, contingent on no setbacks. Marchand had a career-best 30-game absence last season. Despite his absence, Marchand was present for Thursday's training camp, participating in a separate workout with forward Jonah Gadjovich.

Gadjovich has been sidelined since last March due to neck surgery and is expected to remain out indefinitely.
