NCST member visits NTPC Ramagundam

NCST member Jatothu Hussain recently underscored the importance of protecting the constitutional rights of Scheduled Tribes and ensuring the successful execution of welfare initiatives for their advancement. Accompanied by NCST officials, he embarked on a visit to NTPC Ramagundam in Peddapalli district on Thursday, as reported by a press release.

During the visit, he engaged in comprehensive discussions with ST employees and representatives of the ST Employees' Association, as well as senior officials from NTPC Ramagundam. The delegation was warmly welcomed by NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana Executive Director and Head of Project Chandan Kumar Samanta, alongside other senior executives.

NTPC officials provided an in-depth overview of the welfare measures implemented for ST employees, adherence to reservation policies, training and development programs, and mechanisms for addressing grievances. The delegation also received insights into the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, particularly those focused on the socio-economic welfare of tribal and surrounding communities.
