Milan Boss Wishing For a Couple of Winter Additions

Milan's boss is hoping to strengthen the team with a couple of winter signings after a disappointing loss to Benfica. The club managed to stay afloat in Serie A after a series of admirable performances, but they fell for the first time this season against their Portuguese rivals. The Rossoneri struggled to find their rhythm in the first half, and couldn't stage a comeback, leaving manager Ruben Amorim frustrated with the squad's disjointed play.

Additionally, Amorim felt that the club's summer transfers didn't fully align with his vision for the team. The front office is considering adding a few more players during January, particularly a defender who can handle the ball better than the current options, including Mario Gila. However, Sporting CP has confirmed that Gonçalo Inacio will not be leaving.

Milan had also targeted center-backs, but they have reintegrated Fikayo Tomori and chose to rely on Filippo Terracciano and Sankhoun Diawara in defense. Matteo Gabbia, who has been used sparingly due to an ankle injury, is another player who might not see much action. The club did make an offensive acquisition by signing Omari Hutchison on loan from Nottingham Forest late in the window, but the manager would have preferred a different type of attacker.

With the January transfer window open, Milan and their rivals, Roma, are reportedly interested in Real Madrid’s Endrick. As the manager searches for solutions to the team's tactical issues, he must also address the impact of some high-profile transfers that have yet to produce the desired results.
