McGraw Hill acquires AI coaching platform TeachFX

Columbus, Ohio - Educational technology firm McGraw Hill announced on Tuesday the acquisition of TeachFX, an AI-driven instructional coaching platform designed for teachers. TeachFX enables educators to record classroom audio via phone or laptop, with the platform's AI analyzing the interactions to provide feedback on teaching methods such as questioning and student engagement.

This data is then shared with school administrators to identify instructional trends. Independent research has shown improved academic performance in mathematics, English language arts, and science among students of teachers who have utilized TeachFX. Moreover, teachers have reported enhanced job satisfaction and self-confidence.

According to Jana Thompson, interim President of McGraw Hill’s K-12 segment, TeachFX equips McGraw Hill with a robust tool to support educators and assist them in professional development.
