Man jailed after masturbating in front of woman on UK train

Babatunde Odutola, a 36-year-old registered sex offender, has been sentenced to 44 weeks in prison after pleading guilty to indecent exposure and breaching a suspended sentence order on a train traveling to Manchester, UK. According to British Transport Police, the incident occurred on September 11, 2021, around 7pm, when Odutola approached a woman on the train, deliberately looked at her, and acted aggressively when she refused to engage.

The woman, traveling alone, was distressed by the encounter. Odutola then exposed himself, masturbated while seated in a wheelchair, and continued the behavior as other passengers passed by. Despite initially denying the allegations, Odutola later pleaded guilty after investigators presented evidence, including CCTV footage and witness accounts.

British Transport Police Detective Constable Leonidas Christoforou emphasized that Odutola's predatory behavior was terrifying for the victim and would not be tolerated on trains. He urged members of the public to report such incidents to the police.
