Madrid join race to sign Man United teenager JJ Gabriel – Report

Real Madrid have entered the competition to sign Manchester United teenage prospect JJ Gabriel, amid interest from multiple European clubs. The 15-year-old, turning 16 on October 6, formally requested to terminate his registration with Manchester United and informed the club on Thursday. Despite the club's right to contest the request, Gabriel's representatives believe United has failed to meet their assurances regarding his progression to the first team.

United, however, remains hopeful of retaining the talented forward and are uncertain about the motivations behind his decision. Gabriel has caught the attention of several leading clubs, including Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea. Real Madrid's pursuit of Gabriel is reportedly the strongest among the clubs, with the Spanish giants keen to sign him immediately and integrate him with Real Madrid Castilla, their reserve team.

Unlike English academies, Castilla play in Spain's senior football system, competing in the country's third tier. Gabriel's future remains uncertain, with Manchester United aiming to keep the highly-rated academy prospect amid strong interest from top European clubs.
