Juventus, Palace cruise to Europa League wins, Bournemouth beat Sociedad

LONDON: Juventus launched their Europa League campaign with an emphatic 5-0 victory over NEC Nijmegen, while Bournemouth delivered an impressive 2-1 win against Real Sociedad during their European debut. Crystal Palace secured a 4-0 triumph over Lech Poznan, but Celtic endured another European disappointment with a 3-1 loss to Ferencvaros.

Nico Gonzalez, Kerim Alajbegovic, and Nick Woltemade scored early for Juventus in Turin, with Zeki Celik and Randal Kolo Muani adding goals after halftime. AC Milan suffered a 2-0 loss to Benfica in Wednesday's action.

Bournemouth's Marco Rose, however, has yet to secure a Premier League victory despite his side's lead in all four matches this season. Real Sociedad staged a late comeback, but Bournemouth held on for a memorable win.

Palace's 4-0 victory over Lech Poznan marked a perfect start to their European campaign, completing eight wins for English sides so far. Yeremy Pino capitalized on a poor Poznan throw-in for the opening goal, with Chris Richards and Jørgen Strand Larsen adding to the score. Eddie Nketiah sealed the win for Palace.

Celtic's defensive frailties were exposed once again as they fell to Ferencvaros 3-1 at home. Daniel Arzani scored a stunning goal on his return to Celtic Park, followed by Liam Scales' own goal and Kristoffer Zachariassen's goal to put Ferencvaros ahead. Besiktas defeated Marseille 4-1 in Istanbul, with Vaclav Cerny, Michael Amir Murillo, and Ernest Poku scoring in the second half after Keyliane Abdallah had equalized for the French side.
