‘Ini bukan urus kedai runcit’, Aminuddin tegur kerajaan NS berkait Tuanku Muhriz

Former Chief Minister Aminuddin Harun urged the authorities of Negeri Sembilan to make a clear and consistent decision regarding the ongoing controversy surrounding Tuanku Muhriz's position as the Yang Dipertuan Besar. Aminuddin emphasized that they cannot continue to lack a decision on the matter. Each day brings a new approach to this issue – this is not about running a shop, it is about governing a state.

There must be a decision. One should not be pressured; do not fear human beings. Fear only the honesty we owe to God, he said in a video posted on Threads. Aminuddin's statement followed Chief Minister Ismail Lasim's announcement that the abdication proclamation of Tuanku Muhriz's throne had been decided unanimously by all members of the Negeri Sembilan State Council just two days prior.

On September 9th, Ismail accused himself of being forced to sign the document proclaiming the abdication of Tuanku Muhriz. This allegation followed a media briefing by several individuals, including Undang Luak Johol Muhammed Abdullah, who claimed that Ismail had signed and completed the proclamation document under Article 10(2) of the Negeri Sembilan State Body Act (UTKNS), dated August 3rd.

Ismail, however, stated that the state government had decided that the proclamation document did not meet the process and procedure prescribed under Article 10 of the UTKNS, and demonstrated full support and unwavering loyalty to Tuanku Muhriz. Today, Ismail announced that the state government has been requested to continue the process of enacting the proclamation in accordance with the existing rules.

Ismail does not accept questions from the media. The Justice and Law Council of the Negeri Sembilan State, Raja Norazli Raja Nordin, today reaffirmed that the state's exco's decision does not have any legal implications as it falls outside the scope of state government authority.
